Rochelle or "Elle" is a young woman that has a best friend named Lee. Lee has an older brother named Noah. Elle grew up with both Lee and Noah but she crushed on Noah until she decided he was unobtainable. She excepted that they were never to be and went on with her life but she was still attracted to Noah. At school they were having a carnival and since Lee and Elle had to have a booth and they had waited until most of the booths were already spoken for they had to find one that was not being used already by someone in the school. While looking at the internet they came across a booth called The Kissing Booth and decided that they could make a lot of money by going with this booth. They knew a lot of the popular kids in school so they knew that they could get them to work the booth. During the time that they were working the booth Noah requested Elle. She at first didn't want to do it. Noah had a "bad boy" reputation. He fought a lot and rode a motorcycle. So finally she kisses him and her crush is back in full force. She spends time with him and the night and finds that she is still very much in love with him but she doesn't want to be. And then there's the whole problem of how to explain it to her best friend. She knows Lee is going to be hurt and betrayed by her actions but she just can't seem to tell him until a school dance when he finds out himself. Lee and Elle have to have their friendship first in order to be complete but where does that leave Noah.
